CF EDITORE, owned by Federico Calafati, announces the Second Edition of the National and International Literary Prize for Poetry and Fiction “Parole a Sud-Est”, with the aim of promoting the dissemination of fiction and poetry and discovering new talents in the Italian and international literary scene.
This call for entries, translated into English, allows and encourages the participation of foreign writers and poets.
The Competition is open to all authors who have reached the age of 18 and is divided into 7 sections:
Section A) – Unpublished Short Stories
For Section A), participants must submit one unpublished short story,
with a maximum length of 50,000 words, in PDF format, on a theme of their choice.
Section B) – Unpublished Novels
For Section B), participants must submit one unpublished novel.
Each work must be no fewer than 50,000 words and no more than 250,000 words, in PDF format, on a theme of their choice.
Section C) – Unpublished Poetry
For Section C), participants must submit TWO unpublished poems, even if previously awarded, on a theme of their choice, written in Italian.
Each poem must not exceed 30 lines and must be submitted in PDF format.
Section D) – Unpublished Short Stories or Poems Set in Salento
For Section D), participants must submit either:

one unpublished short story, up to 50,000 words, in PDF format, on a theme of their choice, set in Salento;
or -
two unpublished poems, each not exceeding 30 lines, in PDF format, on a theme of their choice, set in Salento.
Section E) – Published Short Stories
For Section E), participants must submit one published short story,
with a maximum length of 50,000 words, in PDF format, on a theme of their choice.
Section F) – Published Novels
For Section F), participants must submit one published novel.
Each work must be no fewer than 50,000 words and no more than 250,000 words, in PDF format, on a theme of their choice.
Section G) – Published Poetry
For Section G), participants must submit TWO published poems, even if previously awarded, on a theme of their choice.
Each poem must not exceed 30 lines and must be submitted in PDF format.
Winners of Sections A, B, C, and D (in the case of unpublished works) will receive a percentage-based publishing proposal from CF EDITORE.
Honorary Mentions awarded by the Jury will receive a parchment certificate with an official commendation.
The President of the Jury Award includes a commemorative plaque and a parchment certificate with commendation.
Influencer Awards will also be granted, assigned by a Jury of Influencers connected to the literary world.
Readers’ Choice Awards will also be granted, selected by a Popular Jury of readers.
